the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a killer wine that should continue to drink well for another 15 years or so

compact and sneaky long finale

It's crystalline and symmetric and has terrific balance and all the ingredients for a nice development in bottle

Here too the admirably pure aromas are distinctly cool with its ripe nose of white peach and essence of pear that is trimmed in notes of subtle wood

Chablisienne, Chablis Montee Tonnerre Brut Zero the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate(from all 4 climats though the blend is mostly from Chapelot). Here too a discreet application of wood sets off the floral suffused nose that is liberally laced with notes of oyster shell, iodine and lemon rind nuances. There is a lovely sense of refinement to the restrained and lightly mineral inflected flavors that somewhat curiously come up a bit short. This may well come together but I found this a bit awkward in its current form. With that said,
